FAQ: An Interview With Joyce

How long have you been doing what you do and how did you become the Business Growth and Marketing Expert?

To answer this question, I’ll share with you a defining moment and resulting “compelling story” that brought me to where I am today, coaching women like you on exactly what to do to get new clients and make more money in your business consistently.

That defining moment in my life happened in late 1999. I had just started my practice in my tiny little apartment in Luxembourg City. I wasn’t finding it difficult to get clients but most of the clients were not paying what I’m worth. I was working hard but not making enough money to be able pay the rent and credit cards bills.

One day, I remember trying to pay for some grocery in my supermarket; the credit card was refuse because it was massed out. I had no money in my account, I have to pay for my daily runs and my business was costing me a lot of money. Most morning’s I wake up feeling stressed out wondering what going to happen, how am I going to survival? I was so scared.

What I assumed was that owning my own business will make me live the dream, being in money and loving my life. However, what do you think I had to spend most of my time doing?

Trying to monetize me clients…

I needed to start getting results from my marketing. I needed people to start taking action or there is no business.

You can be best message therapist, technician, coach, consultant, dog groomer or have the best product in the world, but if you are not good in getting the word out and getting them to take action, you will never success in your business.

As I had an insatiable appetite for growing my business, I started to immerse myself in absolutely everything that had to do with making money in a business and dominating our competitors. I read every book on marketing and maximising the sales and profit from our clients that I could lay my hands on. I took every course that was available. I essentially decided to become a mini-expert on how to build a successful business.

I joined some networking forums, did the one-on-one meetings and lunches, implemented some cost effective marketing strategies, and asked for referrals.

Lo and behold, within less than 10 months, I had filled my private practice to full capacity: 49 cash-paying clients that worked with my every month.

During this process, I then realise that the thing that I enjoyed MOST about my practice was actually the marketing, not teaching clients how to get great skin.

Because I was good in securing cash-paying clients there were loads of people asking me “Joyce how did you managed to have that much clients and sell a lot of products in a short time?” Please tell us your secret? Can you help me?” So I will start giving them a few ideas here and there, them I will get a call about a great client they have managed to secure that want’s to work with them for 10 months and so on. Every time, they called me back they always talk about how they have managed to have someone sign up for a long term package and having them paying upfront too.”

Since then I have made a commitment to dedicate the rest of my professional life to helping other self-employed, sole practitioners, get more cash-paying clients and increase the sales profit in record time.

Since then, I’ve worked with hundreds of private clients, spoken in front of countless groups, and have created The Wealthy Entrepreneur’s Marketing SystemTM; a series of 10 important Profit building steps every sole practitioner needs to apply to skyrocket their sales profit, and live an inspiring life.

Who are your clients exactly?

I work with people just like you in private practice and other independent professionals who are really good at what they do, they know the basis of marketing but have not been taught exactly how to make money in their business or set up systems that helps monetize their clients. The lack the practical know-how in proven, time tested sales and marketing techniques. They are struggling in their business because it more like a “technician” (someone who is good at their job) rather than an entrepreneur (someone who knows how to run a business)

What happens if you haven’t yet worked with people in my field?

I have worked with hundreds of service professionals in a wide scope industries. So it’s likely that I’ve worked with people in your field.  If I haven’t worked in your field, no need to be concerned as a Business Growth Expert, I’ll be teaching you a proven marketing system that works no matter what business you in to help build profit in your business while enjoying more time off. What my clients have found exceedingly helpful is that I bring an extremely fresh perspective to their Profit Building process and give them resources they’d never heard of in their field. Because of this, they stand out in an overcrowded marketplace and are the ones who start getting the clients and making more money.

What marketing strategies do they use and how many?

 The first thing you need to know is that there are only three ways you can grow your business…

Generate more leads or enquiries (lead generation)

Convert more enquiries or leads into sales and new clients (sales conversion)

Increase sales from existing customers or clients (customer maximisation)

Other experts only specialise on the main disciplines of marketing – ads, direct mail and PR, but there are dozens of other successful marketing strategies that I help or teach you to implement – many of which are FREE or low cost. Including ALL possible strategies and disciplines dramatically increases your chances of success.

The Strategies I use are implemented across all three ways of growing your business. It’s called the ‘3 Business Multipliers’.  More importantly, most of the strategies they use cost very little, if anything, to implement yet the results can be, and often are, spectacular

How are you different from other “business coaches?”

If a Business Growth Expert can’t tell you what it is they do that’s so unique – run a mile because this is one of the most important principles of marketing. You’re looking for specific uniqueness’s, not the usual things like “Because we offer value, quality and service over and above our competitors”. Replies like that are so lame – and instantly show a lack of understanding of marketing in general. The key for you is to ask yourself, “Is this uniqueness something that will be of real benefit to me and my company?” If it isn’t, then of course you have your answer!

What’s Unique about Me and What Sets Me Apart From The Competition?

There are three key areas which set me apart from the competitions…

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

Being a high achieving go-getter myself, I’m known to work best with other high achieving go-getters who are super-ready to get going and just want to know exactly what steps to take to get clients.

For what type of professional is this program NOT going to work?

Just as you’re careful about selecting the business coach you work with, I too am careful about selecting the people I work with. I cherry-pick my clients, choosing to (gently) turn away people who aren’t suited for this program and won’t get the results. (It wouldn’t be fair to them.) With my clients, I’m committed that the work we do together gets them clients. In order to achieve client’s breakthrough results, you want to be ready, willing and able to do the work.

This Wealthy Entrepreneur’s program is NOT for those who have no money coming in and are absolutely, financially desperate, at least not right away. It’s been my experience that people in financial crisis do not trust the recommendations I give them and do not do the work (probably because they spend so much time worrying about where they are going to get next month’s rent check or mortgage payment.)
