<p>A few years ago I met a lady who used to work in the marketing wing of Kellogg, she doesn’t help craft their ads and commercial but her team was improving the ways their product was marketed. They were responsible for creating new and exciting cans and packaging that would boost sales.</p>

<p>As it turns out when they created the mini packaging sales went through the roof. In fact sales were so good that Kellogg took the idea of the mini packaging and ran with it and now they have most of their cereals in mini packaging too.</p>
<p>Here is a cool example of a cool business that reinventing themselves and taking the market by storm.</p>
<p>How many times have you gone to a restaurant or event that offered valet parking? Do you really know how valet parking works? It’s all about handing over the key to your car and getting it parked.</p>
<p>I remember a restaurant in London that uses the valet packing to boost their business sales. They outsource the car parking service to a valet company. Typically the valet company that charges the least gets the job. (This explains the thin profit margins that these valet companies have.)</p>
<p><em><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">How Valet Girls Reinvent Themselves</span></strong></em></p>
<p>The Valet Girls are the most expensive valet parking that in out there at the moment. They made close to 14 Million in annual revenue in the year 2008. Not bad considering the best valet companies out there makes a couple million a year. They were able to make this money by reinventing themselves.</p>
<p>They work with many of the top swanky restaurant and hot spots in LA, San Diego, and San Francisco.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how they reinvested the industry. The owner of the company thought it would be a good idea to have hot models and actresses working as a valet service and this has given them the edge.</p>
<p>Today, while other valet services are trying to under bid one another just to get the job. Valet Girls is getting paid top dollar by restaurants and night clubs because they actually ATTRACT more customers to the venue.</p>
<p>An otherwise mundane and boring industry like valet parking was reinvented by a brilliant woman into a multi-million dollar business with high demand.</p>
<p>New and improved always works.</p>
<p>Makes you want to take another look at how you run your personal business, eh?</p>
<p>Curves reinvented circuit training &#8211; and we all remember the curves boom. Starbucks reinvested the coffee shop and look at their success.</p>

<p>During my private mastermind with clients, I will ask to them to say what their average sales per client, did you know that the values varied wildly:</p>
<ul>
<li>On the low side, they said their average package was worth €300</li>
<li>On the high side, over €10,000 per client</li>
<li>With all variety in between</li>
</ul>
<p>You might be surprised to know, that this particular mastermind group was for one specialty- Massage Therapist, and 90% of them treated the same types of cases.</p>
<p>Yet, we saw a swing in case averages by a factor of 5,000%!</p>
<p><strong>Importance of  Sale Presentation</strong></p>
<p>The outsider might say such disparity comes about because:</p>
<ul>
<li>Some Massage Therapist live in wealthier areas</li>
<li>Some Massage Therapist are better educate</li>
<li>Some Massage Therapist have a nicer office</li>
<li>Or must have better equipment</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Yet none</strong> of these factors accounted for a 5000% difference in average sales.</p>
<p><strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">So what is the difference?</span></em></strong></p>
<p><strong>The </strong><strong>Massage Therapist</strong> <strong>ability to deliver an effective sale presentation, opportunity </strong><strong>analysis</strong><strong>, and be believed with credibility.</strong></p>
<p>That was the key that made the difference.</p>
<p>If I had to work with two Massage Therapist, watch their opportunity analysis and sale presentations, and I would predict which one is running the most successful practice.</p>
<p><strong>Importance of Closing the Sales</strong></p>
<p>If we know that the sales presentation / opportunity analysis, is the source of income in our business, isn&#8217;t it surprising that a lot of small business owners are giving this area little thought or attention?</p>
<p>There is a big difference between sales presentation and closing the sales.</p>
<p><strong><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">What&#8217;s the difference?</span></em></strong></p>
<p>Some small business owners are turned off by the concept of having to do a sales &#8220;presentation&#8221;.</p>
<p>When I come for your help, the last thing I want is a salesperson.</p>
<p>I want a professional.</p>
<p>If I sense the person does not have my best interests in mind when they deliver their findings, not only won&#8217;t I select their recommendations but I will leave with negative feelings.</p>
<p>So I like to tell you that 90% of a small business income comes from both&#8230;</p>
<ul>
<li>Your ability to deliver an effective <strong>sale Presentation</strong></li>
<li>And then, to <strong>Close The Sales</strong></li>
</ul>
