The phone isn’t ringing, your inbox is empty, no one is booking appointments and you are not selling any products. I’ve been there too. And it sucks.
It’s not a good place to be. I hated not having any clients or money and not knowing what to do. But here are 3 ways I have used to pull me and my business out of the abyss and fill up my funnel with cash paying clients.
What trigger these ideas was I realizing that the core of my business was built on relationship.
Here are my 3 Ideas to Save Your Small Business from Closing Up:
1. Get in touch with the past clients you’ve worked with – Don’t call them to commiserate about the business that you don’t have, call to tell them how much you enjoyed working with them. Better yet, send them something fun in the mail anything that’s going to help you clients. This reminds them about you and your service. Ask them what they’ve been up too. Also remember to send them card on special occasions. You’ll definitely make a great impression and you’ll be at the top of their mind when they met potential clients.
2. Ask Client’s for Referral – Clients that are referred always spends more money, buys more often, and are more profitable and loyal than any other leads you could go after. Referrals are easy to get. Referrals beget referrals. They are self-perpetuating. You need to have earned your clients trust by delivering value and a wow experience with results, showing you care, going the extra mile, continually educating and supporting them before you can get them to refer. Educate those you’ve not worked but are potential referral about your business and the type of clients you want them to refer. Let them know why they should trust you, your service and how you have a unique solution to a particular problem(s)… and of course, what’s in it for them.
3. Do something that you’ve always wanted to do- Well; you’ve got the time right? If you are in the verge of closing down then you have to challenge yourself to get yourself out there. It was being in a slump that made me start writing an ezine and now I have over 6000 clients subscribed to my ezine and a steady flow of clients. Wanted to try blogging? Maybe you want to explore social networking? These are all virtually free or low cost to do so now that you have the time, put yourself out there. Think- how can I create relationships online?

What are you doing to get more business? What you putting yourself out there and focusing on building relationships
