Create a Mastermind Group with Centre of Influence

What I have notice over the years is one of the key ingredients to a successful business is to belong or start a mastermind. Your mastermind is a mentoring group that you look to for guidance in growing your business.

 

The beauty of a mastermind group is that you can ask anyone you want to participate. Make a list of those people who might be influential to your business and invite them to join you mastermind. You meet regularly to share ideas and give referrals when possible.

 

For example as a personal fitness trainer you might consider influential people such as:

 

• Massage therapist

• Hair dresser

• Nutritionist

• Exercise equipment shop

• Doctors

• Daycare

• Chiropractors

 

Invite them to participate for a one year commitment. Consider offering them incentives to be active on your board by offering them a monthly fixed payment plus a percentage cut of your annual net profit. This will motivate them to help you get more business.

 

You might even ask them if they would recommend other people that would be beneficial to have in the team. When you meet with your mastermind members, talk about potential solutions, to challenges in your business and prospective areas of growth. Above all, never get defensive about your member’s suggestions. Spend most of your time listening and making friends and less time espousing your own opinions.
