- How My Small Business Run’s itself – Part 2
As a small business owner that wants to run a business on autopilot while making more money you need to multiply your productivity by focusing on high priority profit building tasks.
If you could invest 80% of your time on profit building tasks you will multiply your business profits dramatically, even if you can just double the time you invest in well planned profit producing tasks.
TRY THESE, proven methods to Manage Your Time and Multiply your Productivity:
Make A Daily “To Do” List.
Write a list of profit building tasks that helps to maintain, build and grow your business. Instead of just listing all the to-do’s that you have on your plate with no rhyme or reason, try organizing them in a “What Matter’s Most” system that Franklin Covey is known for.
Write out all the tasks you need to get done. Then label each task “Must”, “Important”, and “Wait”. Priorities all the must tasks and start working on the first must. It’s a fantastic way to get all the important tasks out of the way first, instead of procrastinating or focusing on non-essential tasks. Start something that will multiply your profits. Minor tasks could outsource. Â
Allocate Some Time to Invest On Each Task
Started allocating some time to a giving task, if not, the task will go on for weeks without being finished. Sometimes, you’ll have a high priority profit building task requiring consistent effort over several weeks or months. Why not plan on investing 30, 60 or 90 minutes on the vital task on your to-do list. Allocating some time to a task will keep you motivated and focused.
Cluster Similar Tasks Together
You can waste a tremendous amount of time reading mail, email and other correspondence.
Try setting some time for when you’ll receive and deal with business activities, like receiving phone calls, answering emails and working with clients. Avoid working on these tasks outside this set time. Let your clients and staffs know this is the time you always answer the phone and reply emails.
Make To Do Lists a Procedure for Everyone in Your Business
Your productivity will grow if everyone in your business has a list of high priority profit producing tasks every day.
You can review their lists weekly and give advice on which tasks might be the best choices or even suggest tasks more likely to increase your business profits.
Be Discipline ans Use To-Do Lists Always
If you start using to-do lists in your business you’ll notice a huge surge in productivity in the first week or two.
 NOW WHAT:
Now that you know what you do in your business it’s time to start creating procedures for these tasks  to be outsourced so that you can stop working on these tasks and to free up your time.
