Twitter Applications That Enhances My Twitter Experience

Twitter applications also know as Twitter Apps are tools, software, add-ons and web sites devoted to supporting twitter and other social media technology.

People ask me, “How do I manage to have the time to tweet and also run my business, as twittering can be a time consuming task”.

Here is how Ido it: Most of the time I organize my twittering task into my calendar, when I find any interesting link or resources, I copy and past it into an excel sheet that I revisit when I want to twit.

Here are a few Twitter Favourite that makes it seemingly easy:

Desktop Twitter Application

Hootsuite – http://hootsuite.com

This site enables me to manage my twitter account. I have multiple colum view. I can create my own group, schedule my tweets and update all my social networks. HootSuite with Ping.FM  allows me to update my Facebook and LinkedIn account.

Mobile Twitter Application

Twinkle – http://tapulous.com/twinkle

A twitter application for my iphone

Ping.fm – http://ping.fm

Ping.fm allows me to relay my messages to multitude of social media.

Twitter File Sharing  Application

Twitpic – http://twitpic.com

Enables me to share photos on Twitter and so that friends (followers) can comment on it.

Send Video and Voice Twitter Updates

Seesmic -  http://seesmic.com

Seesmic is a video sharing service like YouTube, Vimeo, Viddler. When you post a video on Seemic,  it sends an update to your twitter account.

Research, Find and Manage Followers

Twitter Search – http://search.twitter.com

Enables me to find out what’s happening in the world of twitter. It helps me filter all the real time conversation.

Tweetbeep – http://tweetbeep.com

Works like Google alert. It sends alters to my email when a tweet matches my search term.

TwitterLocal – http://www.twitterlocal.net

Enables me to search for users in my local area. All  I do is just enter the city, state and choose the range of mile I want to include in my search, and it returns local twitter users online at that present moment.

Twitzu Event for Twitter – http://www.twitzu.com

Used to publicize meet up, get together or party to the twitter world

TweetMyBlog -  TweetMyBlog 

A plug-in that I use for my blog that automatically publishes my blog post to twitter

TwitThis – http://twitthis.com

When visitors arrive at my blog, they can click on the TwitThis button to twit about my post. It automatically takes the URL of the website, shorten the URL using TinyURL and send the shorten URL with the description of my post to all their twitter friends.

Web-based Twitter Resources

Alt Code Characters – http://www.alt-codes.net

This site enables me to add symbols such as heart, smiley face, the sun or musical notes or more using the alt key and 0-255 decimal numbers.
