Use Gmail Voice and Video Chat to Boost Business

I’m a really big user of Gmail. I have been using it to run my business for along time now. My assistance uses the Google Calendar to book all my appointments. I also use the Google Doc to share documents amongst the team. We upload documents and share them within the team when necessary. I also have access to these documents all over the world. All clients’ appointments information is stored on Google Doc.I use the Goole Reader to keep track of all the blogs I love. I also use the GoogleR to work with clients during their consultation.

Google Alerts  makes it easy for me to monitor all kinds of names and phrases online. I set up an alert and have them delivered to my email and Google Reader page. When I get an alert delivered to my Google Reader I something share what I read with my facebook and twitter reader by clicking on the shared feature in Google Reader.

Now Google just launched voice and video chat that connects directly into Gmail. It’s easy to install. You can download the Gmail voice plug-in here.

Most of the Google services have been integrated into my day to day activities. So it was natural for me to have this on board.
Once you download the plug-in and log into Gmail you will be asked to verify your audio and video settings. Make sure you have your camera attached to your computer when doing the configuration. Those you want to chat will also have to set-up Video chat as well.
